About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a strong background in Appian, JavaScript, and Product Management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex technical programs and products, driving cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership abilities, a strategic mindset, and exceptional communication skills are essential for this role.

As a TPM at datiqs, you will work closely with development, product, and design teams to lead initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards. Your role will be instrumental in driving product strategy, managing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Program & Project Leadership: Lead multiple technical programs and projects, ensuring timely delivery, scope management, and alignment with business objectives.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives.
• Technical Expertise: Leverage expertise in Appian, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies to drive technical discussions, resolve challenges, and guide development teams.
• Product Management: Work closely with product management to define the vision, roadmap, and delivery of critical features and functionalities, ensuring alignment with market and customer needs.
• Process Optimization: Define and improve agile processes, release management, and development workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, clearly communicating program status, risks, and challenges to ensure all parties are aligned.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks, dependencies, and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
• Leadership: Lead a team of Appian developers in the design, development, and implementation of solutions using the Appian platform. Mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.
• Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable steps for stakeholders at various levels of technical expertise. Present program updates, roadmaps, and results to leadership teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience overall, and 5+years of experience in technical program management or a related field, with a focus on leading cross-functional teams and delivering software products.
• Proficiency in Appian, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
• Strong understanding of product management principles, with the ability to balance technical and business priorities.
• Proven ability to lead and influence without authority, driving collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for simplifying complex ideas for various audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, large-scale technical projects with competing deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).

Nice to have

• Experience working in low-code platforms like Appian.
• Background in JavaScript development or similar front-end technologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies, DevOps, and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with integrating enterprise-level applications.
